· In the case of a headed bar, the tensile capacity of the rebar is transferred to the concrete by the head alone, without the help of rebar bonding.

· In the case of a headed bar, the amount of slip in the anchorage part is relatively very small compared to bend or hook methods such as Stirrups.

· In the case of a headed bar, the fatigue performance is relatively excellent compared to when using bending anchorage methods such as Stirrups.


· By using an enlarged head rebar, the head alone performs the anchoring function without the help of bonding. Due to this feature, the effect of reducing the anchorage length of rebar can be expected.

· By using enlarged head rebar, the effect of reducing the density of rebar can be expected. In particular, if large-diameter rebar can be used, on-site constructability can be greatly improved.

· Headed rebar exerts anchoring performance by the head alone without the help of bonding, so even in case of damage to the structure (due to accidents or earthquakes), the performance quality of the structure can be stably maintained.

· Using headed rebar improves the ductility of the structure.

· The enlarged head rebar reduces the slip of the anchorage, thereby reducing the width of shear cracks and further improving the shear performance of concrete.




· Anchor channel is also called a cast-in channel, and is pre-constructed into a concrete structure and used to firmly fix and connect (non-structural) facilities such as a curtain wall to the concrete structure.
